Morocco dismantles criminal network in northern region

CASABLANCA – Moroccan authorities dismantled Saturday a criminal network engaged in car theft, international drug trafficking and psychotropic drugs in Northern Morocco.
Police arrested six people in the cities of Nador, Ben Taieb and Laroui in possession of 11 stolen cars, 10,780 tablets of ecstasy, 86.5 kg of chira drugs and small amounts of hard drugs besides 100 tear-gas bombs, three hunting cartridges and falsified car documents, according to the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN).
The dismantling of this criminal network was part of the open investigation with the main suspect, arrested last Thursday for his involvement in a case related to the international trafficking of stolen cars, said the DGSN.
