Yes... to Oman Campaign achieves admirable success

Sayyid Khalifa bin al Mirdas al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam, recently has launched a campaign beginning of January 2014 encouraging Omani, residents to support the local tourism industry by holidaying inside Oman instead of overseas. Also to encouraging potential tourists to come and visit Oman and discover the beauty of the country.
Bader Mohd Al Azri, Team Leader for the campaign speaks of the response, “Oman Visitors Portal has always put an emphasis on online marketing and we believe that with our strong network of online channels including websites and social media, as well as the many members of Oman Visitors Portal program, we will be able to expand the marketing and promotion efforts of this campaign and take it to a higher level of success. The Oman market is one of the most prolific for using online channels to both research and book travel, so it makes sense for our first significant campaign in recent times to have a heavy online focus."
The campaign will be running until 31 December 2014 .The campaign will also extend the campaign in the Oman through strategic partnerships with the local tour operators and hotels.

The campaign was heavily promoted across Oman Visitors Portal which speaks three language (Arabic , English , Italian) as well the social media which been translated into five languageswhich propose as the fastest channels to deliver the news. The content was designed to narrate stories of Oman lifestyle and experiences in order to inspire viewers to discover the beauty of Oman.
The campaign is part of the 2014 tourism action programme that Oman Visitors Portal aims to boost the development of the local tourism industry.

The campaign, which aims to attract more visitors to Oman governorates very active through social media communities and passionate fans, encouraging them to share their tips, recommendations, current happenings and quirky facts on Oman using the #Yes_to_Omanhashtag. The image and text updates – mainly uploaded to Twitter, Facebook ,Instagram ,YouTube and blog.
