Exam leaks: Tunisian students to resit Arabic
TUNIS - More than 33,000 Tunisian high school students will have to resit their Arabic exams after the questions were leaked on the Internet, the education ministry said Monday.
The decision was to ensure a level playing field and the credibility of the exams, the ministry said in a statement, denouncing what it called a "criminal and unpatriotic act."
Copies of the Arabic literature exam paper appeared online 13 hours before they arrived in testing centres on Monday, Lassaad Yacoubi, a senior official with one of the teaching unions told the TAP agency.
Yacoubi expressed concern that the history and geography exams, due to be sat on Tuesday, might also be leaked.
